Staring from your resort, we head to the picturesque fisherman’s harbor of Kouloura. At this point the distance from Corfu to Albania is only 2 miles. Close by is Kalami where the famous British Author “Lawrence Durrell” lived for 2 blissful years before the war. Continuing we pass through Nissaki, Ipsos and Dassia reaching to the Venetian influenced Corfu Town. After a short exploration of the Town we head to the famous and panoramic views of Mouse Island and Vlacherena convent.
We continue our tour with a visit to the Achillion Palace, built by the empress Elizabeth of Austria. You will have the opportunity to see the Museum dedicated to her and Kaiser Wilhelm II and enjoy the view of the gardens and statues. From here we travel inland to Paleokastritsa, the most popular and picturesque area of the Island. There we will visit the 13th century Greek Orthodox Monastery. There will be plenty of time for lunch, swimming and boat trips.
Then we go to Bella vista, described by Lawrence Durrell as having the most beautiful view in the Mediterranean. We then travel through the Troumpeta pass to enjoy spectacular view of the north and central parts of the Island as well as the most western part which is the most western view point of Greece. An English speaking guide will accompany you throughout the tour and the coach is equipped with full air-condition.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at the port or at your hotel.
